Ashley Christie

Ashley is an experienced litigator with a practice focusing on insurance defence and commercial litigation. She represents clients in serious personal injury matters, SEF 44 claims, fatalities, property loss, fires, floods, dog bites, product liability and minors' property settlements. Confident when faced with complex claims, Ashley has experience defending large corporations and has frequently been involved in multi-party litigation. Ashley often acts as counsel for individuals facing professional liability actions. She carefully investigates the underlying issues giving rise to the claim, obtains expert evidence on the duty and standard of care applicable and resolves claims against professionals. Employers turn to Ashley to handle workplace investigations. She is skilled at tailoring each investigation to her client’s business structure, workplace culture, and unique needs. She conducts investigations that are thorough and impartial, yet efficient and discrete. Ashley is the Chair of the National Insurance Section of the Canadian Bar Association and was ranked as a Lexpert Rising Star in 2022.
