Asim Iqbal

Asim Iqbal is a partner in the restructuring and insolvency group at Miller Thomson LLP. He has substantial experience in large and complex cross-border restructuring matters. He regularly acts on behalf of ad hoc and official creditor committees, debtors, boards, DIP lenders, financial institutions, secured creditors, distressed investors, bidders, and court officers in complex and unique situations that require a high degree of creativity, pragmatism, and consensus building to achieve a client’s objective. He was named a Lexpert Rising Star in 2023. He has been appointed by Canadian courts multiple times to represent the interests of stakeholder groups in formal insolvency proceedings. He is also an advisor to boards of private and public companies.
