Represents public and private companies, Canadian and US private equity firms, investors and special committees on a broad range of merger and acquisition transactions, including cross-border transactions, takeover bids, going private transactions, strategic investments and reorganizations. Also advises issuers and underwriters in connection with public offerings, including IPOs and bought deal financings. Recent transactional experience includes representing: WestJet and Onex on the sale of Onex’s minority stakes to Delta and Korean Air; Cineplex in the sale of Cineplex Digital Media to Creative Realities; Mandalay Resources Corporation on its merger with Alkane Resources; Kilmer Sports Ventures on its acquisition of the Toronto Tempo; and Dragoneer Investment Group on its investment in Wealthsimple’s C$750 million equity financing round. Recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada for Securities Law and The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for Corporate Finance & Securities.
