Brian has an insightful understanding of litigation and risk management with a particular emphasis on aviation and the aerospace industry. With over 25 years of experience, Brian advises on a wide range of operational and risk management issues, product liability, negligence, regulatory and coverage disputes. His leadership and legal profile extend beyond client advocacy. He acts as arbitrator in aviation related commercial matters, acts as independent mediator in litigated disputes and is a qualified expert before the Supreme Court of British Columbia in matters relating to the role of independent counsel in an insurance setting. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Brian spent 12 years as a reserve officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force. This experience fostered an applied understanding of his clients’ perspectives, enabling Brian to craft legal strategies that achieve practical and effective results. Raised in Canada’s arctic; Brian was exposed to the world of aviation at a young age. His appreciation of the north and those who serve it has continued into his adult life and has greatly influenced Brian’s professional career.
