Carole Chouinard is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising tax law. Her practice involves transactional work as well as tax planning for corporations and individuals. Carole advises clients on the tax aspects of transactions, including share and asset sales of corporations, corporate reorganizations, the structuring and formation of corporations, trusts, partnerships, and tax-exempt entities, cross-border tax issues, and estate planning. Her clients include both domestic and foreign corporations and individuals residing in and out of Canada. She has experience in structuring business ventures and transactions for both taxable and tax-exempt entities. Carole advises tax-exempt organizations, as well as donors, on matters pertaining to the tax and corporate law implications and structuring of donations and proposed arrangements and ventures in Canada and internationally. Carole worked for several years as a rulings officer with the Income Tax Rulings and Interpretations Directorate of the CRA and has taught tax law at the University of Ottawa. She has been recognized in The Canadian Legal Lexpert®Directory and the International Tax Review: Women in Tax Leaders. Carole received the Best Lawyers 2022 Trusts and Estates Lawyer of the Year award in Ottawa.

Voyageur is a Transport Canada approved air operator and an integrated provider of specialized aviation services, including contract flying operations both internationally and domestically, and offers advanced engineering and maintenance capabilities.
