Casey advises clients on all aspects of labour and employment law, working with both unionized and non-unionized workplaces across the public and private sectors. Her practice places particular emphasis on the broader public sector, where she regularly represents municipalities, school boards, hospitals, and other public organizations. Her work spans a broad range of employment-related litigation, including wrongful and constructive dismissal claims, human rights complaints, and disputes involving non-compete and other restrictive covenants. She regularly appears before arbitrators, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, and the Ontario Courts. She provides strategic advice on a wide range of employment matters, including issues under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Casey frequently acts as lead spokesperson at the bargaining table, negotiating both initial and renewal collective agreements. She advises on collective agreement language and supports clients throughout the bargaining process. A key part of Casey's practice involves workplace investigations. She is regularly retained to conduct investigations and to train clients on how to manage them effectively.
