Chris Horkins is a partner in the Litigation Group at Cassels. His broad commercial litigation practice includes expertise in franchise law, product liability, securities litigation, and class actions. Among other achievements, Chris was co-counsel to the successful franchisor in Raibex Canada Ltd. v ASWR Franchising Corp., the leading appellate decision on rescission of franchise agreements under the Arthur Wishart Act (Franchise Disclosure), 2000. Chris takes a practical approach to litigation aimed at achieving an early resolution to complex disputes whether through settlement or courtroom advocacy. Chris also maintains a busy pro bono practice, which includes acting as counsel to unrepresented parties in enforcement matters before the Ontario Securities Commission. He was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2012.
