Chris Andree is a partner in Gowling WLG's Waterloo Region office and co-leader of the firm's US Initiative in the Northeastern States. He is past co-leader of the firm's Employment, Labour & Equalities Group and the former Litigation Department Head in the firm’s Waterloo Region Office. Harnessing over 30 years of knowledge and experience, Chris works alongside his clients as a trusted adviser minimizing risks and maximizing opportunities. His clients include multinational organizations and owner-managed businesses active in many sectors of the economy from tech to manufacturing. Chris represents employers in all aspects of their relationships with their employees, including employment agreements, managing absenteeism, human rights issues, pre-termination advice and strategy, reorganization strategies and workplace dispute resolution (litigation and mediation). He frequently speaks on a variety of topics and is sought out by the media to comment on various legal developments. Chris represents clients before courts and administrative tribunals including the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Ontario Labour Relations Board and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
