Christopher Langdon is co-lead of McCarthy Tétrault LLP’s Projects Group and a partner in the firm’s Business Law Group in Toronto. He specialises in mining, energy, and infrastructure, as well as in the banking and financial services, natural gas, oil and gas, and power industries. His practice focuses on secured lending/project development and finance. Christopher represents a diverse group of clients in the project development and finance transactions field. This includes sponsors, project companies, streaming and royalty companies, commercial banks, and international financial institutions. He has extensive international experience and has worked on projects in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Canada, and the US. Some of his recent prominent transactions include advising Wheaton Precious Metals on its $300M gold stream with Carcetti Capital. He also advised Champion Iron Limited on its joint venture with Nippon Steel and Sojitz to develop the Kamistiatusset iron ore project in Newfoundland.
