Managing partner of the firm's Edmonton office and co-head of its Commercial Litigation practice, David is recognized by Canada Best Lawyers for Corporate and Commercial Litigation and was ranked in the 2020 Lexpert's Special Edition on Canada's Leading Litigation Lawyers. David's legal practice is focused entirely on complex contract and commercial litigation matters, representing clients primarily in the fields of civil, commercial and industrial infrastructure, oil and gas, agriculture, and multi-tenant real estate development. He and his team of litigators and staff have extensive experience with contract and construction disputes, including sophisticated, multi-party commercial and construction litigation, arbitrations, and mediations. David has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta, the trial division of the Federal Court of Canada and various arbitration, administrative, mediation and regulatory panels. David has been an instructor for the Alberta Bar Admission Course and at various Legal Education Society of Alberta seminars. He is the author of “The Lawyer's Duty to Himself and the Code of Professional Conduct”, published by the Law Society of Upper Canada Gazette.
