David Brown is a partner and leader of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group in Stikeman Elliott's Vancouver office. He conducts a broad litigation and dispute resolution practice with emphasis on corporate and commercial matters, including shareholder disputes, products liability and insolvency. He has acted as counsel in business-related disputes before trial and appeal courts, arbitration panels and administrative tribunals.
Waterton Precious Metals Fund II Cayman, LP through a wholly-owned subsidiary, acquired Chaparral Gold Corp., on February 18, 2015. The acquisition was effected under a statutory plan of arrangement pursuant to which holders of Chaparral common shares received $0.61 in cash for each common share. The transaction was valued at approximately $72 million.
