Domenic Crolla is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office. His practice focuses on professional and product liability, health law, and medical liability matters. He counsels clients in a litigious and non-litigious setting and has an active interest in the application of information technology to the practice of law and medicine. He has appeared before all levels of courts and administrative tribunals and has appeared as lead counsel in a number of complex matters in both a trial and appellate capacity. Domenic is a frequent author and lecturer, the editor of Electronic Healthcare Law Review (LexisNexis), and taught in Osgoode’s LLM in Health Law program. He was Chair of the Law and Medicine Committee, IBA, a past director of The Advocates' Society and Bar-Ex Communications, and is honorary counsel to REACH, a charitable organization for persons with disabilities. Domenic has been recognized in Chambers Canada, Benchmark Canada, The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory, and The Best Lawyers in Canada. In 2020, he was recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada as Lawyer of the Year for Professional Malpractice Law – Ottawa. In 2018 and again in 2021, he was similarly recognized in the area of Health Care Law. He is lead trustee of the firm’s board of trustees.
