Beth Burton is a partner in Gowling WLG's Calgary office. She is actively called in Alberta and Ontario, covering local, national and cross-border financings. Beth has an extensive background in financial services law, providing strategic advice to financial institutions and corporate clients in financing transactions and structuring matters across a range of industries including the energy, infrastructure, agricultural and real estate sectors, as well as in Indigenous economic and community development. She is also a trusted adviser in restructuring and insolvency matters, intercreditor arrangements, private equity issuances, and general corporate and commercial matters. Beth was previously the firm’s Calgary Financial Services Group Leader and a member of the firm’s National Diversity & Inclusion Council, as well participating with the Law Society of Alberta’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee, the National Women’s Strategy Advisory Committee of Pride at Work Canada and the Law Society of Alberta’s Justicia Project.
