Erin practises Aboriginal and administrative law in JFK’s Victoria office, focusing on Treaty negotiations and Crown consultation. She supports clients engaged in the BC Treaty Process and advises First Nations on consultation with the Crown and industry, governance, and the application of the Indian Act. Erin has experience across resource development, fisheries, forestry, land use planning, environmental assessments, and regulatory hearings. Previously an officer with BC’s Ombudsperson, Erin brings a strong background in administrative fairness and administrative law. She works collaboratively with Indigenous governments to advance rights and title, integrate Indigenous knowledge into Crown decision-making, and support communities in gathering and presenting traditional land use information. Guided by a commitment to reconciliation, Erin helps clients strengthen governance, build capacity, and navigate negotiations and consultation. A former journalist, she also assists with media and public profile strategies. Originally from the Prairies, Erin now enjoys exploring Vancouver Island’s outdoors with her two kids.
