Frank A. Benedetto is the Managing Partner of Flaherty McCarthy LLP (Markham, Ontario), voted a Top 10 Insurance Defence Litigation Boutique Firm in Canada by Canadian Lawyer Magazine since 2015. Mr. Benedetto is retained to act as counsel in tort and accident benefit claims, including catastrophic, large loss priority and loss transfer disputes and cross-border matters. Mr. Benedetto is very frequently retained to act as mediator to help parties resolve their disputes. By Ontario Order in Council, Mr. Benedetto was appointed as the Supervisor of the Toronto Catholic District School Board on June 27, 2025. In the important tradition of the legal profession, he contributes to education and has taught Insurance Law at the University of Queen’s Faculty of Law, has been a participant of Osgoode Hall Law School’s Insurance Law Praxicum, and presented for a variety of legal organizations. Mr. Benedetto has volunteered on Boards and organizations involving our communities and the profession. Mr. Benedetto attended Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario bar in 1999.
