Frédérique Drainville

Frédérique Drainville is a partner in the Bankruptcy and Restructuring Group in Montreal. Her practice focuses mainly on restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency, as well as banking litigation, including litigation related to bank liability and bills of exchange. She worked for several years in a national firm where she acted for various financial institutions, trustees and in the context of banking and insolvency disputes. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Law Section of the Canadian Bar Association, Quebec Division, and a member of the Organizing Committee of the Turnaround Management Association’s NextGen, an organization for the next generation of restructuring professionals. Frédérique holds a Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) and a Bachelor’s degree in civil law (LLB) which she obtained from Université de Sherbrooke. During her studies, she completed an internship at a banking institution, as well as an internship at the Department of Justice Canada, Department of Tax Affairs. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 2017 and she is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the Young Bar Association of Montreal.
