Gavin J. Tighe K.C. has been certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Civil Litigation since 2003 and has appeared as lead counsel at all levels of Canadian Courts. He acts as counsel to clients in arbitrations, mediations and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution. He also acted in numerous high profile matters and court proceedings and is a lawyers’ lawyer having represented numerous other lawyers in Ontario and across Canada. Gavin has published numerous legal articles and is the co-author of “A Practical Guide to the Law of Defamation in Canada” published by LexisNexis. In April 2025, Gavin was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal by Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada and the Government of Ontario. In 2022, Gavin was named “Lawyer of the Year” by Best Lawyers in Canada and again in 2026.
