Gwenyth Stadig

Gwenyth Stadig is a partner in Gowling WLG's Toronto office. She has extensive experience advising not-for-profits, registered charities and other tax-exempt entities on matters related to tax, trust and corporate compliance. Gwenyth has particular experience assisting clients navigate compliance obligations with the CRA and the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee in Ontario. Gwenyth also works with First Nations, Inuit, Métis and Indigenous organizations and governments providing tailored tax and trust planning advice that supports their objectives while effectively communicating with their stakeholders and internal teams. Gwenyth is actively engaged in the legal community, most notably, she is the past chair of the Charity & Not-for-Profit Law section for the OBA, where she played an important role in advocating for the interests of charities and non-profit organizations throughout Canada. Recognized in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and The Best Lawyers in Canada, Gwenyth was presented the 2025 Widdifield Award by the OBA Foundation for excellence in legal writing on tax and estate planning for the unique needs of Indigenous peoples living in Canada.
