Hugo Babos-Marchand is a partner in the Litigation and Bankruptcy & Restructuring Groups in Montréal. His practice focuses primarily on bankruptcy and insolvency law, and also encompasses banking, securities, and commercial law litigation, including extraordinary remedies and shareholders' rights disputes. Hugo regularly acts for various secured lenders, court-appointed officers, corporations, and shareholders. He has represented his clients before all levels of court in Québec as well as before the Federal Court. In 2010, he completed a master's degree in law at McGill University, and his master's project dealt with the incorporation of Norwich orders in Québec judicial law. Hugo also teaches the course on Priorities and Hypothecs at the École du Barreau du Québec. Called to the Québec Bar in 2009.
