Ira G. Parghi

Ira Parghi is a sole practitioner with an extensive advisory and litigation practice in information law and health law. She is a trusted and seasoned advisor to, and advocate for, clients on a wide range of issues, including privacy compliance, breach prevention and response, access to information, privacy in digital health, and big data and AI in health care. Her clients include hospitals, health care organizations, digital health and medical technology companies, universities, and research institutes. She is a recognized thought leader and regular speaker on AI in health care, digital health, and emerging issues in information privacy. Ira previously worked as the Corporate Privacy Officer of a large US health care network, and on secondment to the privacy office of a leading US research university. She has practised as a lawyer in the health care and data privacy groups of a global US-based law firm and at national and boutique law firms in Canada. She has been consistently selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Canada. Ira received her education at Stanford University, Harvard University, and the University of Toronto Faculty of Law.
