Isabelle Vendette

Isabelle Vendette is a partner in the Litigation Group at McCarthy Tétrault. Her practice focuses on corporate commercial litigation and civil litigation, as well as on internal investigations, privacy and cybersecurity. She advises and represents financial institutions, telecommunication companies, and other corporations in complex cases and high-profile class actions. She has led internal investigations in the context of data breach, has advised clients in the context of privacy incidents, including advising on disclosure, communications with regulators and customers, and has advised on compliance with the Privacy Act. Isabelle has represented defendants in the context of data breach class actions. She is a regular speaker at conferences, where she presents on privacy and cybersecurity and acts as a breach coach. She is also a contributing author to various publications on privacy and cybersecurity. Isabelle is a member of the Massachusetts, New York, and Quebec Bars. She received a master’s degree in European and comparative law from the University of Oxford and an LLM in American Law from Boston University. She is recognized as a Leading Individual: Dispute Resolution by The Legal 500 Canada and as a Leading Lawyer: Litigation by Lexpert.
