Jacob Stone is a partner in McCarthy Tétrault LLP’s Business Law Group in the Québec Region. His practice focuses on project finance, mergers and acquisitions, private placements, and lending. His experience spans several sectors, with an emphasis on energy, agribusiness, and technology. Jacob was involved in a number of significant mandates, including representing Invenergy in the C$1.1 billion financing of the PPAW 1 Wind Project in Eastern Québec. He also advised Desjardins Group on the C$105.6 million construction, clean technology Investment Tax Credit bridge, letter of credit facility and long-term debt financing for the 94.4 MW Weavers Mountain Wind Energy Project in Nova Scotia. He is the co-editor of McCarthy Tétrault LLP’s annual publication Power Perspectives and frequently contributes to the firm’s Canadian Energy Perspectives blog. He is called to the Bars in both Ontario and Québec.
