Jason Sutherland practises corporate and securities law providing strategic advice on mergers & acquisitions, complex commercial arrangements, including joint ventures, corporate finance, corporate law, corporate governance, shareholder activism and commercial leasing. In 2016 through 2018, Jason was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Canada for his work in Securities Law, and in 2019 and 2020 for his work in Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions Law and Securities Law. In 2020, Jason was recognized by Lexpert® as a leading Canadian lawyer in Global Mining. Jason is a member of the Corporate Finance Stakeholder Forum of the BC Securities Commission and the Securities Law, Business Law and Natural Resources Law sections of the Canadian Bar Association. Jason received his Bachelor of Commerce in 1998 from the University of Victoria and his Bachelor of Laws in 2002 at the University of British Columbia. Jason was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2003.
