Mr. Rioux has won cases before juries and judges alone in Ontario Superior Court, has won at the Court of Appeal, and has won cases at private arbitration and before a number of administrative tribunals. Recent examples of his work include Williams v. Davies, Anderson v. Alekozai, Harrismowich v. Bhakaya, Fekema v. Furnace Room, In re: Liscombe Estate, and Habibi v. Baird. He often lectures and demonstrates at continuing legal education seminars, including the Ontario Bar Association Anatomy of a Trial. His areas of practice include insurance defence, plaintiff personal injury, estates, and employment litigation. He was called to the bar of Ontario in 2001 and the bar of Nova Scotia in 2000. He has practised at Flaherty McCarthy LLP for over a decade.
