Jeremy acts for contractors, subcontractors, owners, municipalities and other public bodies, as well as employers and employees. Jeremy’s practice focuses on Construction Law, assisting contractors, subcontractors, owners, municipalities, and other public bodies in a broad range of matters, from dispute resolution to solicitor work. Jeremy teaches construction law at the University of Alberta Faculty of Law (since 2015). His construction dispute resolution experience includes navigating complex litigation and arbitration matters. He has assisted clients in resolving disputes relating to liens, bonds, delays, changes, product liability, and other issues. In addition to his construction-focused work, Jeremy also carries on a general dispute resolution practice, advising clients on a broad range of matters, including employment and human resource issues. Solution-oriented, Jeremy brings a practical sensibility in guiding clients and parties to a sound result. While he has appeared before all levels of Court in Alberta, Jeremy understands the value of resolving matters without proceeding to a full trial, when possible. In his experience this approach reduces the cost, the timeline, and the toll that disputes can take on parties.
