Joëlle Boisvert is head of international development at Gowling WLG (Canada) LLP and has been a member of the International Board of Gowling WLG International Limited since 2018. As an experienced commercial litigator, Joëlle counsels large national and international companies with regard to a variety of complex dispute matters. During her 30-year career, she has developed extensive experience in class actions and litigation pertaining to commercial and real estate disputes. Her practice has brought her to plead before federal and provincial courts of law as well as administrative tribunals. She also has significant experience in both national and international arbitration and mediation. The first woman ever to have managed the firm’s Montréal office (2014–2017), Joëlle is committed to promoting the advancement and leadership of women in all areas of professional and commercial activity.
