Joey Suri is a partner in Gowling WLG’s Montréal office working in the Business Law Group. He mainly focuses his practice on major infrastructure projects, construction, financial services, aviation and government relations. With a strong track record in the infrastructure sector, Joey has played a key role in several major projects, including hospitals, bridges, highways and transportation and sports facilities. Before joining Gowling WLG, Joey worked as a policy advisor and regional desk to the Minister of Canadian Heritage in Ottawa. As part of his duties, he advised the Minister on issues concerning Quebec, the awarding of grants to stakeholders as well as on the national priorities of the government and their impact at the provincial level. Within the firm, Joey plays an active role on the India Desk and has also served for several years on the Montréal office’s Student Recruitment Committee. Joey is active in the legal community and has served for many years on the boards of directors of both the Young Bar of Montreal and the Bar of Montréal. He serves as a Governor of the Bar Foundation. Multilingual, Joey practises law in both French and English.
