John is a co-managing partner who practises in the areas of land use planning and land development. John’s extensive practice covers both private and public sector clients across the GTA and Ontario. He provides guidance on complex planning and development law matters, approvals for new continuum of care seniors’ developments, high rise condominium zoning and site planning approvals and large greenfield subdivisions. John regularly appears before Municipal City Councils and their subcommittees and the Ontario Land Tribunal. He has advocated on behalf of his clients before the Divisional Court, Environmental Review Tribunal, Ontario Energy Board, and other administrative law tribunals. John has been a noted speaker on land use planning and land development matters at the Ontario Bar Association and in seminars hosted by the Law Society of Upper Canada. He is the Past Chair of the Municipal Section of the Ontario Bar Association. John is active in the community and served on the Etobicoke Committee of Adjustment, the Toronto-Hydro-Electric Commission and was a former Chair of the Etobicoke Hydro Commission prior to its amalgamation into the Toronto Commission. John is also a former member of Board of Governors for Kingsway College School in Toronto.
