Jordan Hulecki

Jordan specializes in energy and utilities regulation. His practice focuses on utility rate regulation and tariff matters, regulatory approvals and facility applications, market regulation, and environmental matters. He works across a spectrum of sectors including electrical transmission and distribution, power generation, energy storage, pipelines, oil and gas, carbon capture, geothermal, and emerging technologies related to the energy transition. Jordan brings a depth of experience in all facets of the energy industry, especially in Alberta and at the federal level. He has represented clients before energy regulators in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and federally; before the courts in Alberta and British Columbia; and has extensive appellate experience in energy-regulatory matters, including before the Supreme Court of Canada. Jordan also provides regulatory advice in the context of commercial transactions and project development, particularly with respect to public utilities (electricity, gas, water), pipelines, and renewable generation (solar, wind, hydro). He also helps proponents of emerging technologies in the energy space to navigate the constantly-evolving regulatory and commercial environments.
