Partner in the Litigation Group at Goodmans. Practises commercial litigation, with an emphasis on intellectual property and technology disputes. Also advises clients regarding the licensing of intellectual property and technology. Has been counsel on a number of significant cases involving patent validity and infringement and on the leading cases involving the assessment and quantification of damages. Appears regularly before the Federal Court and Federal Court of Appeal. Editor-in-Chief of the Goodmans IP website (www.GoodmansIP.ca), which publishes intellectual property articles daily. Lecturer in the "Intellectual Property in Health Law" course in the Professional LLM program at Osgoode Hall Law School. Has spoken at a number of conferences on the new patent regime for pharmaceuticals and on the assessment and quantification of damages. Completed a two-year laboratory study relating to Huntington’s disease at Massachusetts General Hospital (and Harvard Medical School) during his undergraduate studies.
