Julie Lanteigne is a partner in Gowling WLG's Montreal office, practising in the Real Estate Group. Throughout the last 15 years, she has developed significant experience in various areas of commercial real estate, including leasing, sales and acquisitions and commercial matters pertaining to property management. Julie acts on behalf of developers, pension funds, insurance and financial institutions, asset managers, large retailers, and industrials. She regularly negotiates complex commercial leases, and is often sought by owners to create or upgrade their standard leasing documentation in all asset types, whether in mixed-use properties, industrial properties, office buildings, hotels or multi-residential assets. After beginning her legal career in commercial litigation, Julie completed an MBA and later joined the legal department of one of Canada's largest real estate owners. She then entered private practice, leveraging her business acumen to assist clients. Julie is a current member of CREW M and the Urban Development Institute. From 2014–2016, she was president of CREW M and sat on its board for three years as secretary. She practises law in English and French, and is fluent in Spanish.
