Partner. Practice focuses on banking and finance law, including a range of domestic and cross-border financing and corporate transactions, acting for both creditors and debtors. Significant experience with corporate and financing transactions involving health care assets and is a member of the firm’s Aging & Healthcare practice. Recent experience includes representing: a consortium including CLV Group Inc. in partnership with GIC in the $4 billion acquisition of InterRent REIT; Welltower Inc. in its announced $4.6 billion acquisition of a portfolio of senior housing communities from Amica Senior Lifestyles and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan; WestJet in its issuance of a new US$1.5 billion Secured Term Loan B; and various health care organizations in the restructuring, origination and assignment of various CMHC-backed secured financing structures. Recognized in The Legal 500 Canada, Legal Media Group’s Expert Guides, IFLR1000, and Best Lawyers in Canada.
