Kassandra Grenier is a partner in McCarthy Tétrault’s National Tax Group in Montréal. Her practice focuses on indirect taxes and, more specifically, on advising clients on the application of GST/HST, Québec sales tax and other provincial sales and land transfer taxes to various commercial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, corporate restructurings and real estate transactions. She also assists clients with indirect tax planning and compliance, including with respect to the new rules dealing with the digital economy, and on their indirect tax disputes. Kassandra is actively involved in the tax and real estate communities, regularly speaking on sales taxes, contributing to tax-related publications and co-facilitating a course on GST/QST and real estate at the Association de planification fiscale et financière. Kassandra holds a bachelor’s degree in law from UQAM (2012) and a master’s degree in Tax Law from HEC Montréal at the Université de Montréal. She was called to the Barreau du Québec in 2015.
