Kate Millar (She/Her/Hers) is a partner in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group of Dentons’ Calgary office. Kate practises in general litigation with a focus in complex commercial litigation, estate litigation, construction litigation and obtaining injunctive relief. In addition to litigation, Kate also maintains a vibrant estate planning practice. Kate has successfully represented clients before the Alberta Court of Appeal, the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Justice in a range of matters including appeals, trials, summary judgment applications, applications for emergency injunctive relief, civil restraining orders, publication bans and confidentiality orders. As a Judicial Clerkship Student with the Alberta Court of Justice, Kate gained a unique insight into litigation from the perspective of the judiciary. During her clerkship, she built her experience in civil, criminal and family matters. Kate prides herself on providing diligent, efficient and practical counsel to her clients. Kate is the Canadian co-lead of the firm’s WomenLEAD (Leadership, Entrepreneurism, Advancement, Development) committee.
