Ken Hanbidge is a partner in Gowling WLG's Waterloo Region office and a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Urban Development Group. With over three decades of experience, Ken’s real estate practice focuses on commercial real estate, and he works closely with developers, builders, and real estate investors to provide practical business advice on property purchases, sales, and development. He also assists institutional and private lenders with real estate and corporate commercial loans, as well as mortgage enforcement. Ken also practises general corporate commercial law, advising small and medium-sized businesses on a wide range of legal matters, including incorporations, mergers & acquisitions, sales, and reorganizations. He is a past member of the City of Waterloo’s audit committee and is a former president of the Rotary Club of Kitchener-Grand River. He is also a past member of the University of Waterloo’s advisory committee and the City of Waterloo's economic development committee. Ken was called to the Ontario Bar in 1978. Ken has been recognized in both The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory and The Best Lawyers in Canada, and in 2019 and 2020, he was named an Acritas Star.
