Krista Johanson

Krista Johanson is a partner in BLG’s Vancouver office. Krista's practice is focused on construction, engineering and surety disputes. Krista acts for clients at all levels of court in British Columbia and in domestic and international commercial arbitration proceedings. She has appeared as lead counsel at trial in the Supreme Court of British Columbia and as appellate counsel in British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Recognized in The Best Lawyers in Canada and Benchmark Canada. Recognized in the Benchmark Litigation Canada's "40 & Under Hot List". Recognized as a CLEBC 'Rising Star' for her contributions to BC CLE. Education: JD, University of British Columbia, 2009 (received the Carswell Prize for highest standing in first-year law, the Bull Housser & Tupper Prize in Torts, the Allan McEachern Prize in Criminal Law, the Davis LLP Prize in First Nations Law, and the Malcolm MacIntyre Prize in Succession Law). Admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 2011 and the Saskatchewan Bar in 2019.
