Lara completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto and obtained her Juris Doctor and MPA at Queen’s University. She was called to the Bar in 2013 and joined Oatley Vigmond after practising insurance defence at a leading national firm. Her experience representing Canada’s largest insurers has provided Lara with valuable insight into personal injury claims, allowing her to better serve her clients. Lara’s personal injury practice means she often meets people at the lowest point in their lives. Her compassion for their situation, and her determination to help them, is what drives her to successfully defend the rights of critically injured individuals and their families. Her practice focuses on motor vehicle accidents, accident benefits, medical malpractice, occupier’s liability, product liability, and long-term disability claims. “What matters to my clients,” she says, “is what matters to me.”
