Lea practises in the areas of construction law and commercial litigation. She represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, and design and engineering professionals. Her construction-related experience includes preparation and negotiation of construction contracts, contract claims and disputes, construction liens, trust claims, lien priority disputes, surety bond claims, professional negligence, and bankruptcy. Lea also assists companies and individuals with partnership and shareholder disputes, debt collection, mortgage enforcement, property disputes, and defending charges under Ontario’s Provincial Offences Act. Lea has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario and various administrative boards and tribunals. She is a past Chair of the Ontario Bar Association’s Construction & Infrastructure Law Section and a speaker at various Continuing Legal Education programs. She is recognized by Lexpert® and The Best Lawyers in Canada 2021 in the area of Construction Law and is a past recipient of the Sean P. McKenna Young Construction Executive Leadership Award, presented by the Toronto Construction Association in recognition of her outstanding leadership within the Association and the construction industry.
