Lynn represents both private sector and public sector employers in all aspects of labour relations and employment law. He appears regularly before tribunals such as arbitration boards, labour relations boards, and human rights boards of inquiry. Lynn has managed a number of landmark cases in the areas of employee absenteeism, employee disability, and human rights obligations in relation to accessibility of public services. Lynn is a past member of the Board of the Canadian Association of Counsel to Employers. He is the past president of the Ottawa Human Resources Professionals Association and holds a CHRP designation from the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario. Lynn was recognized by his peers as "Lawyer of the Year" for labour and employment law in Ottawa in the 2010 and 2016 editions of The Best Lawyers in Canada, and has consistently been ranked by The Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory since 1997. Lynn received the “AV preeminent” rating based on peer surveys by Martindale-Hubbell, 2012–2015. Lynn and his partner Jacques Emond were awarded the Carleton Medal by the Carleton County Law Association in 2017 in recognition for “great diligence, high ideals and outstanding leadership in the practice of law.”
