Mahdi practises corporate and securities law, with a focus on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and financing transactions. He acts for public and private companies and registered securities dealers, with particular experience in the technology, mining, life sciences, and cannabis sectors. Mahdi has advised clients on a wide range of domestic and international transactions, including IPOs, debt and equity financings, public and private M&A, commercial sale agreements, and corporate reorganizations. He works with clients at all stages of the business life cycle, advising on investments, acquisitions, amalgamations, and restructurings, and has experience assisting companies and investors in securing debt and equity financing through private equity and venture capital opportunities. Mahdi is recognized in The 2026 Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for Corporate Mid-Market and in the 2025 Lexpert Special Edition: Mining, and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in Canada for corporate law since 2022. He was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2010 and New York in 2011. Mahdi is fluent in French and Farsi and has an intermediate level of Spanish.
