Maria Damiano has practised with Harte Law for over 20 years where her practice is restricted to medical negligence assisting victims of serious medical harm across Canada. She is ranked by Lexpert and Best Lawyers as a specialist in medical negligence. Maria is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the bar of Ontario in 2002. Damiano is a past president of the Ontario Trial Lawyers’ Association. She is currently a council member and Treasurer of the Medico-Legal Society of Toronto. Maria has contributed to various legal journals, including the Advocates' Quarterly and the Annual Review of Civil Litigation, on the topic of medical malpractice. In addition, she is a regular speaker on the issue of medical malpractice presenting to both lawyers and physicians. Maria is currently an instructor at the Osgoode Hall Trial Advocacy course.
