Marie-France is a partner in the Tax, Tax Disputes and Investigations and White-Collar Defence practices. She assists clients in avoiding, navigating and resolving complex tax disputes with both provincial and federal tax authorities. Her clients, private and multinational corporations and high-net-worth individuals, rely on her expertise throughout the entire tax dispute process—from audits and appeals to trials. Marie-France has a robust track record of representing clients at all judicial levels. Before joining Davies, she served as counsel with the Department of Justice, representing the CRA in tax appeals, served as a Crown prosecutor focusing on the proceeds of crime and tax fraud and articled as a judicial law clerk at the Tax Court of Canada. She serves as chair on the CBA's Tax Court of Canada Bench and Bar Committee and is president of the Canadian Bar Association’s (CBA) Québec Tax Section, as well as on Canadian Tax Foundation’s Tax Litigation Committee. She teaches at the University of Montréal's Master in Taxation program.
