Marie is a partner in the McKercher LLPÂ Saskatoon office with a practice primarily focused on professional liability defence, personal injury, and professional discipline. She has extensive experience advising professionals on matters relating to professional and ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, and risk management. Marie regularly defends professionals in proceedings involving licensing, discipline, and complaints before regulatory bodies, as well as in civil claims, including personal injury matters arising from allegations of professional negligence. In addition to her professional defence practice, Marie maintains a broad civil-litigation practice with experience in labour and employment law, human rights, education law, and administrative law. She frequently advises clients on complex workplace issues, including policy development and review, accommodation and human rights obligations, and employment-related disputes in both unionized and non-unionized environments. Marie has appeared before all levels of court in Saskatchewan, the Federal Court of Canada, and administrative tribunals, arbitrators, and regulatory bodies.
