Maxime is the founder and managing partner of ESPRIT Law & IP Agency, a leading firm in the fields of entertainment, intellectual property, technology, marketing/advertising, and litigation specialized in these areas of activity. Maxime has been repeatedly recognized as one of Canada’s best lawyers, notably by prestigious publications such as Best Lawyers in Canada, World Trademark Review, Lexpert, and as a finalist for the Lexpert Rising Stars Award (leading lawyers under 40). He is also a recipient of the 2023 Order of Merit awarded by the Faculty of Law of the University of Ottawa in recognition of his contributions to the legal profession and his dedication to various non-profit organizations. In 2025, he received a merit award from the Quebec bar in recognition of his social engagement. In the area of entertainment law, he represents producers, broadcasters, and distributors from both the US and Canada concerning all aspects of the development, production, licensing, and distribution of film, television, stage, and music projects. Before founding ESPRIT Law & IP Agency, Maxime co-founded St. Lawrence Law Firm LLP and worked at two highly reputable Canadian firms, namely Stikeman Elliott and Heenan Blaikie.
