Melissa Tehrani is a partner at Gowling WLG’s Montreal office and theleader of the firm’s National Advertising & Product Regulatory Group. Practising in the area of advertising, marketing and regulatory compliance, Melissa advises national and international corporations in the e-commerce, consumer goods, retail, financial services, automotive and telecommunications industries. Her main areas of practice include advertising campaign reviews and pre-approvals; digital media; negotiating influencer, sponsorship, agency and advertising services agreements; contest and promotion design and review; class action litigation; consumer protection law; automotive advertising; consumer-oriented financial products/agreements; packaging and labelling; children’s advertising; French language requirements; and privacy, data protection and direct marketing. Melissa authored the Canadian chapter of the leading international book “International Advertising Law” (Wolters Kluwer) and is a contributing author of “Advertising and Marketing Law in Canada” (LexisNexis). She is the co-editor of Gowling WLG’s Advertising & Product Regulatory publication, AdBytes. Melissa has been recognized in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and sits on the Advisory Committee for How2Recycle (GreenBlue).
