Born and raised in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Michael moved to Edmonton in 2006 and joined Weir Bowen in August 2012. His practice focuses on medical malpractice and personal injury, where he is committed to helping clients pursue justice in complex medical negligence claims. Michael brings extensive experience to Weir Bowen’s medical malpractice and personal injury teams. As a member of the Birth Injury Lawyers Alliance (BILA), he is skilled in managing complex medical evidence and working closely with expert witnesses. He is a strong advocate for the firm’s team-based approach, believing it delivers thorough and strategic representation for clients. Michael has represented clients before both the Alberta Court of King’s Bench and the Alberta Court of Appeal, achieving notable successes in challenging cases. Outside of practice, Michael enjoys staying active, including playing hockey, and cherishes time with his family. He is a dedicated father of four and values quality family moments.
