Michelle D. Millard has a practice that encompasses all areas of trusts, estate planning, and estate administration. She also works with clients to assist with corporate succession planning and other transitions of the client's business. Michelle works to protect her client’s wealth both personally through marriage agreements and corporately through unanimous shareholder agreements, and to ensure a smooth transition of their wealth to the next generation. She was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1995 and has 25 years of experience in assisting clients create effective estate and corporate succession plans. Currently, Michelle is a director and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) Edmonton, a member of the Estate Planning Council, and a member of the Wills, Estates and Trusts and Business Law sections of the Canadian Bar Association (CBA). Michelle is a frequent lecturer on various estate planning and corporate succession planning topics for STEP, the CBA, Legal Education Society of Alberta, the Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta, and various financial institutions.
