Nafisah Chowdhury practises in employment law and commercial litigation. She provides day-to-day strategic advice to businesses of all sizes on a broad range of matters, including navigating workplace issues, resolving corporate disputes, and addressing privacy law concerns. Known for her pragmatic and prompt advice, Nafisah’s litigation experience encompasses such areas as the enforcement of restrictive covenants, defending employers against wrongful dismissal proceedings, and recovery of confidential information taken by departing employees. Nafisah is a past executive member of the Ontario Bar Association’s Labour & Employment Section, as well as a past executive member of The Advocates’ Society’s Labour & Employment Practice Group. She regularly appears before various courts and tribunals and brings a wealth of experience to her practice. Beyond her legal career, Nafisah is actively involved in various community projects. She serves on the board of directors for the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA), the operator of Pearson Airport, and has earned an ICD.D designation. She is a recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal, recognizing her dedication, leadership and valuable contribution to Canada, her profession and her community.
