Nainesh Kotak is recognized as one of Canada’s leading long-term disability lawyers and has been listed in The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for the past three years. Called to the Ontario bar in 1994 and the Alberta bar in 2022, he brings over 30 years of litigation experience before the Superior Court of Justice, Ontario Court of Justice, Federal Court, and multiple tribunals. His practice focuses on long-term disability claims involving depression, anxiety, and PTSD. A trusted voice on injury and disability law, he is frequently featured on television and radio. Nainesh is committed to community service, supporting organizations such as Wounded Warriors Canada, Boots on the Ground, the Canadian Mental Health Association, and Every Mind Mental Health Services, where he serves as Board President. He has organized major appreciation events for troops, veterans, and first responders. Within the profession, he chaired OTLA’s Long-Term Disability Section (2021–2024) and now serves as Secretary/Treasurer on OTLA’s Board. He led the working group that created OTLA’s Diversity and Inclusion Caucus. He also served on Sheridan College’s Paralegal Advisory Committee and sits on the Justice of the Peace Appointment Advisory Committee for Ontario’s Central/West region.
