Natalie Mullins is a partner in Gowling WLG's Toronto office. Certified as a Specialist in both Civil Litigation and Environmental Law (LSO), Natalie has extensive experience litigating a variety of complex contaminated lands disputes, often involving multiple parties and properties and a web of civil and regulatory proceedings. She advises clients on a range of matters, including the assessment of damages and liability; remediation alternatives; liaising with the government; the acquisition, sale, and leasing of contaminated real estate; and brownfield redevelopment. She has significant experience in alternative dispute resolution and structuring complex multi-party settlements. Her clients include oil companies, banks, municipalities, manufacturers, insurers, engineering firms, real estate developers, property owners, and tenants. Natalie appears in all levels of court and has conducted trials, arbitrations, and hearings before administrative tribunals, including the Environmental Review Tribunal. She speaks and writes frequently on environmental law issues and teaches advocacy skills, including guest instructing at Osgoode’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop.
